General Program Information
Fall 2010 applications are now available. Please follow link above.
Attention:
The selection for the Fall 2010 class will be held in 2 rounds. The first will be held on November 1, 2009,
and the second will be on February 1, 2010. Letters will be sent immediately upon the selection. If you are not
accepted in the first round, you will not need to re-apply to the RADS program. You WILL be automatically considered for the February 1, 2010, selection.
Please be sure to send a copy of your current transcripts with your RADS application. Unofficial transcripts are
acceptable with your RADS application; however, they are not acceptable with your SIUC application.

The program in Radiologic Sciences prepares qualified health care professionals
to function as first assistants to the physician in medical practice, utilizing
radiant energy, ionizing radiation (X-Ray), other forms of electromagnetic
energy, and sound waves for the imaging, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.
Each distinct specialty has its own accreditation, educational, and clinical
training requirments. The traditional medical specialites of radiography
(radiologic technology), radiation therapy, medical sonography (ultrasound),
and computed tomography/magnetic resonance imaging are available at SIUC.
