Who is eligible for the
Services of the SIUC Community Dental Center?
Any resident of Southern Illinois
who is currently a Medicaid recipient, or low income resident
who earns less than 200% of federal poverty level and doesn't
have dental insurance. For example a family of four, earning less
than $42,400. All Kids and All Family subscribers are eligible for services,
but a co-pay may be required.
What services does the SIUC Community Dental Center Provide?
For children, preventive services
such as cleanings, x-rays, checkups, school exams, sealants, and topical fluoride
treatments, as well as fillings, root canals, extractions and crowns are available.
Adult services include exams,
x-rays, fillings, dentures, and extractions. Limited root canals and crowns may be provided on front teeth only.
Referrals will be made for extensive
dental services.
Who provides these services for the SIUC Community
Dental Center patients?
The patients receive care from
SIUC fourth-year dental hygiene students,
faculty dentists and volunteer dentists from our region.
Patients are seen by Appointment ONLY!
Fall Clinic hours are Monday 5-9 p.m., Tuesday 8-12,
Wednesday 8-5 p.m, Thursday 8-5 p.m. and Friday 8-5 p.m.
Appointments may be made by calling 618-453-2353.
Failure to appear for an appointment
without prior notification will result in termination from participation
in the SIUC Community Dental Center.
Please call 24 hours in advance if you cannot make it to your appointment.
