Sigma Phi Sigma members elected to build a float to participate
in the 2007 Annual Homecoming Parade through the streets of
Carbondale, Illinois. Since SIU's opponents for the homecoming game were
the Youngstown State Penguins, the float was themed "Bury Them Penguins". All
float materials were donated by fraternity members and "body part" candy was
distributed by the fraternity members who walked with the float in the parade.
Each member who participated also received a "Bury Them Penguins" homecoming
T-shirt.
